Vintage Towles Log Cabin Stockade School tin with original cap
This is a vintage Towle's Log Cabin Syrup Stockade School tin with maple syrup contents included. In 1927 Towle's Maple syrup company joined forces with
General Foods Corp. The log cabin shaped tins were discontinued after World War II except for special editions. This is a litho tin that measures 4 1/2 x 2 3/4 x4 1/2 ,and
contained Net Cont.1 pt. 8 Fl. Oz Net Wt. 2 lbs 1oz,and reads that it is Made of Sugar and Maple Sugar Syrups. The litho side that reads Stockade School
has what appears to be a stain maybe from the syrup. The reverse side that reads Towle's Log cabin syrup has a small amount of missing paint on the L
of Log and the area above it and a little fading on top of the red label. The bottom and roof of the tin shows signs of wear and light surface rust areas. Overall the tin is in good vintage
