This
is a beautiful crude example of the famous Roome
snuff. As known, not many snuffs are
embossed. This one is 4 ¾” tall, bubbly,
whittled, olive amber, mint, and open pontiled.
Unfortunately
it has a lip chip ¼” on the top of the lip by ½” under the lip on the back
side, and a shallow pin head nick on the bottom edge. What is the norm with these is the embossing
is a little flat, but this one displays well with all letters showing when back
lit.
