Jackson Beverages New Orleans


This is one of the most beautiful bottles of the art deco period along with its historical reference. The green bottle was used for beverages other than beer during Prohibition. The mold for the bottle represents an oak tree with chains showing then bondage of law upon the people's will, It is embossed on the front Jackson / Beverages / a picture of General Jackson on his horse / ROOT (glass works) CONTENTS 8 FLUID OZ near the base. The rear is embossed Jackson Beverages on the shoulder, PAT'D APRIL 6, 1926 near the base. The bottom is embossed JACKSON (arch) / BREWING CO.(across) / NEW ORLEANS (rocker).
The bottle is 9 " tall and is in mint condition.

This was a beverage made during Prohibition to keep the staff working during this time.
