NEW ORLEANS DIXIE 45 BEER

This was the first beer I experienced at the young age of 8.  My Grandpa would watch professional wresting in the mid 1950’s and I would sit in my Grandma’s rocking chair and watch with him.  One day he told me to get a cup from Grandma and he gave me my fist swig of good old Dixie.  So, enough of my corrupted youth.

The bottle is 9 ½” tall, the base is hard to see, but probably says 9 (symbol) 3 then 14 under the symbol / Duraglass/GB2130.  The glass is near mint with just a little case wear along the edge, with no chips or cracks.  The paper label is in nice condition except for the area on each side where it came into contact with the case, and dampness caused some deterioration but still quite readable and presentable.

I was told by some long time beer collectors this is one of the hardest 45 paper labels to find with Genuine on it.  Since Hurricane Katrina, all New Orleans collectables are hard to find in any condition.  If you need this one, add it to your collection now and if you are lucky you may be able to upgrade later.
