Jackson Beverages New Orleans


This is one of the most beautiful bottles of the art deco period along with its historical reference. The clear bottle was used for beverages other than beer during Prohibition. The mold for the bottle represents an oak tree with chains showing the bondage of law upon the people's will, It is embossed on the front Jackson / Beverages / a picture of General Jackson on his horse / ROOT (glass works) CONTENTS 8 FLUID OZ near the base. The rear is embossed Jackson Beverages on the shoulder, PAT'D APRIL 6, 1926 near the base. The bottom is embossed JACKSON (arch) / BREWING CO.(across) / NEW ORLEANS (rocker).
The bottle is 9 " tall. There are 3 tiny bruises, 2 pin head size and the other a little bigger on the bulbous area of the shoulder above the wood grain pattern.

This was a beverage made during Prohibition to keep the staff working during this time.
