Here is a nice pitcher that is glazed blue and white. It has an interesting check pattern and horizontal bands incised into it. The bottom has the following mark: VILLEROY & BOCH DRESDEN as shown in the picure above. It does have a little damage such as two chips as shown on the rim and one inside the rim on one side. There are also 2 small chips on the spout and a crack on the bottom of the handle. The other side has no damage and will display nicely. The pitcher is approximately 4 3/4" high. This dates to about 1840's to 1850's period.
